Centralia, Pennsylvania
“Centralia is a borough and ghost town in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, United States. Its population has dwindled from over 1,000 residents in 1981 to 12 in 2005 and 9 in 2007, as a result of a mine fire burning beneath the borough since 1962.”Don’t know if I’m more surprised at the fact that Silent Hill exists, or that it’s in my own state. I’ve been there, and it’s very very surreal. Definitely worth the drive from Philly, especially if you schedule some time for the Appalachians too.
